Read more about an upcoming research study I am conducting in order to facilitate my PhD research. I am actively looking for participants in the Dublin area. Click in to read more!
In the coming months, I will be hosting a couple of focus groups at Maynooth University in order to help facilitate my research. I am looking for applicants, age 18 and over, from various backgrounds who would be interested in working with a group to provide feedback on how they use digital humanities resources such as the Letters of 1916, the Woodman Diary, or Vincent Van Gogh: The Letters. The results of the focus group will then be used as part of my dissertation research to generate prototypes for new methods of interaction with these types of resources. Each focus group will last between 2 and 4 hours.
Participants of the focus group will also be invited to participate in individual 1 on 1 usability studies early next year to gauge the usefulness of the ideas generated by the focus group using working prototypes (NOTE: participation in the 1 on 1 studies is completely optional and separate from participation in the focus group). Participants must be local or willing to travel to Maynooth University. Additionally, all participants will receive a €10 voucher to Starbucks for their time.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out the google form below. Your information will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be shared. For more information about the study, please download the attached information sheet.
